Thomas Jones had come from Carmarthen Town where he had been a pub landlord,

Marriage St.Peters Carmarthen Town 11.Feb.1808.
between Thomas Jones tinman and Jane Jones a spinster, both of St.Peters.

A possible match 1810.
listed as Thomas Jones at The Red Lion, Priory St.Carmarthen.

Also in 1810  a Carmarthen newspaper reported the following-: 
Stolen or Strayed.
From Morva Moch, near Carmarthen, on Thursday Night, the 11th.alt.
A DARK BAY MARE, about fourteen hands having four black legs, a white mark in the forehead, rather low in the back, a small head, and a lump on one of her hind legs.
Whoever will give information concerning her to Mr. Thomas Jones of the Red Lion, Priory Street, Carmarthen, will be rewarded for their pains.

Sometime around 1826, Morgans of Carmarthen tinplate works, plant and workforce was moved 35 miles to the old Afan Forge in Margam. [ see also Charles Richards 1793-1866 ].
